Mode 02 · Super Scout

Your Sunday ace,
rested.
Their #4 starter,
exposed.

Every coach has the data. Super Scout gives you the judgment. Weekend pitching plans. Archetype-tagged opponent reports. Live on-deck reads. Ascending Athlete detection. All in coach language, never hyped.

Five working modes.
One memory layer.

Super Scout isn't a dashboard. It's a set of capabilities built around the specific questions real travel ball coaches ask — the night before a game, in the first inning, in the car ride home.

01
Opponent Scouting
Pregame
The full report a staff would build the night before — strike %, 2-strike out pitch, velo fade inning, L/R splits, archetype classification, and a plain-English attack plan.
02
Tournament Prep
Signature · Weekend strategy
Matches the lowest-sufficient arm to each game. Reserves power arms for Sunday. Calls the pivot game by name. Cross-checks every rec against pitch-count rules.
03
On-Deck
Live · 20-second read
Next batter walking up. Slash line, last 10 PAs, pull/chase/two-strike tendencies, a pitch-and-location plan — never more than one screen. Age-aware output.
04
In-Game Adjustment
Live · Third time through
Their starter's pitch count vs. typical pull point. Third-time-through alerts. Their bullpen status (who's warming, who's unavailable). Positioning calls based on today's spray.
05
Talent Scan
Recruiting · Program-level
Hunting your next pickup. Regional cohort filters. Archetype tags. A one-line why-this-kid. "Undervalued 14U middle infielders in our region." "Sub-2.0 pop times, uncommitted 2027."
06
Memory
Per-player · Per-matchup
Every classification written back to a timestamped trail. "Velo Chaser at 14U, now Power Arm at 16U — command caught up to the stuff. Different pitcher."

The weekend plan.
Built before first pitch.

Tournament Prep takes your roster, the last seven days of pitch counts, the pool, the likely bracket, and the specific sanctioning body's rest rules — and builds the plan a pro coaching staff would build, in seconds.

The doctrine: match the lowest-sufficient arm to each game. Power arms saved for Sunday. Strike-throwers ride Saturday. Every recommendation cross-checked against pitch-count rules.

Game Plan
SAT
8:00 AM
vs. Blue Ridge Nationals
Pool · Can-win-with-a-#4 · 3-9 in last 5
Start Wes. Strike-Thrower fits this lineup — contact-oriented, defense can carry. Do not burn Ryan here; his stuff is wasted on bats this size.
SAT
2:30 PM
vs. Tri-State Thunder Pivot Game
Pool · Requires real stuff · Deep 2-5 lineup
Start Sebastian, Zach in relief if needed. This game decides your Sunday path. Win it and you're in the winner's bracket with Ryan rested. Lose and you're throwing him out of the gate in an elimination game.
SUN
9:00 AM
Bracket TBD · Likely Eastside or Tri-State
Bracket · Bracket-level stuff required
Ryan. Power arm, 36+ hours rested regardless of Saturday outcome. If we see Tri-State again, Saturday video changes the report — their 3-hole chased the curveball below the zone all day.

The Ascending
Athlete.

The archetype that earns Super Scout its premium tier. We detect the kids whose trajectory says they're not their best yet — the ones every travel coach wants to poach before they get priced in.

Must satisfy at least three of four pillars. Three confidence tiers: Strong (all 4), Moderate (3 of 4), Weak (2 of 4 — doesn't surface unprompted). Never declared off a single event. Always cohort-relative. Never projects forward.

01
Metric Trajectory
At least one standard deviation above cohort median improvement, sustained over 6+ months.
02
Sustained Level
Held at the new level across 2+ events — not a one-weekend showcase outlier.
03
Performance Translation
Velo gains have to produce outcome gains. Raw tools without results don't qualify.
04
Exposure Delta
Ranking movement or event-tier progression that confirms the market agrees.
The boundary: Super Scout never projects to D1. Cohort comparisons are always to the kids who landed where this prospect wants to land — not aspirational. Honest, evidence-based, useful.

Super Scout reads players
the way real scouts do —
by type, not by stat line.

Every classification carries a detection rule, an attack plan, and a recruiting fit profile. Primary drives the game plan. Secondary adds nuance. Archetypes evolve over time — the engine remembers.

Seven Pitcher Archetypes
Strike-Thrower
High strike %, low walk rate, lets the defense work. Saturday gold.
Power Arm
Top-tier velo, K stuff, save for Sunday.
Velo Chaser
Arm talent without command. Projection play.
Crafty Lefty
Angle and location, deceptive, always valuable.
Ambusher
Sets you up early, finishes with the breaking ball.
Fader
Good for 50–60 pitches, then falls off. Plan the hook.
Two-Pitch Kid
Limited arsenal, predictable in the right counts.
Seven Hitter Archetypes
Zone Controller
Tough AB — takes ball, fouls off, walks. Make him swing early.
Free Swinger
Home run or strikeout. Dangerous on mistakes.
Pull-Side Power Hitter
Geared for velocity in. Hates anything away.
Spray Contact Bat
Uses the whole field. Hard to defend.
Two-Strike Battler
Doesn't quit at-bats. Fouls off the tough pitch.
Opposite-Field Grinder
Lets the ball travel. Advanced approach.
Ascending Athlete
Trajectory is the story. The highest-value tag in the library.

Three layers.
Zero hallucination windows.

Outputs aren't templated. They're generated by a three-layer architecture where the model only ever sees derived structure — never raw rows. Data sourced from Perfect Game. That's how it stays honest.

LAYER 01
Retrieval
Rules-based routing figures out what data answers the question. Deterministic pulls from the tournament record and internal derived store.
No model decisions on what to look at. That's where hallucination lives.
LAYER 02
Derivation
Pre-computation turns raw rows into structured insight — rolling windows, splits, rates, rest-day math, common-opponent joins, archetype classifications, confidence tiers.
The model never touches raw data. It sees math the engine already did.
LAYER 03
Reasoning
The model receives the derived structure plus the question and writes the output. Every claim cites the data underneath it.
Sample-size flags inline. Confidence tier stated. Boundaries respected.

Trust is a boundary,
not a claim.

The lines Super Scout refuses to cross matter as much as the capabilities. Real scouts earn trust by being honest about what they can't see from the stands. So does this product.

Never comments on motor, athleticism, effort, or hustle. Intangibles a stat line can't capture.
Never projects college or pro outcomes. Cohort comparisons only.
Never names individual kids in unfavorable comparisons. Nobody becomes a cautionary tale.
Never reports hardware it doesn't own — no spin rate, no biomechanics, no radar exit velo.
Never declares an archetype off insufficient data. Emerging patterns stay behind a confidence tier.
Never speculates on injury, fatigue, or growth-plate causes. That's for coaches and trainers.
The Pledge Super Scout reads data. Real scouts read movement, effort, and makeup. Use this as context, not conclusion — the floor of your preparation, not the ceiling of your judgment.
